JOB PURPOSE
This role is responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with clients, partners, and external stakeholders to drive innovation initiatives. This role plays a key part in identifying opportunities for collaboration, managing client engagements, and developing partnerships that align with the organization's innovation strategy. The ideal candidate will act as the primary point of contact for key clients and partners, ensuring seamless communication, mutual value creation, and long-term success.
Under the supervision of the Innovation & Solutions Head, the following are among the Job Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact between the organization and key clients, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients to foster trust and loyalty.
- Engage with clients to identify opportunities for co-innovation, new solutions, and joint ventures.
- Identify and establish partnerships with external stakeholders, including technology providers, startups, and academic institutions.
- Negotiate terms and manage agreements to ensure partnerships align with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with partners to explore and develop innovative products, services, and solutions.
- Work closely with internal teams to align client and partner requirements with innovation projects.
- Provide insights from clients and partners to inform R&D initiatives and product development efforts.
- Participate in the planning and execution of co-creation workshops, pilot programs, and collaborative innovation initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and reports to clients, partners, and leadership.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to bridge gaps and ensure alignment.
- Track and report on the performance and outcomes of partnerships and client engagements.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies.
- Identify new partnership opportunities and potential clients aligned with the innovation strategy.
- Provide recommendations on innovative solutions to meet evolving client needs and market demands.
- Any other responsibilities or tasks as maybe assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 Certificate with Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Innovation Management, Technology, or a related field.
- Zambia Qualifications Authority (Zaqa) Verification Certificate for Tertiary Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience with at least 5 years in client management, partnerships, or business development, ideally within technology or innovation sectors.
- Proven track record of managing strategic relationships and successful partnerships.
- Familiarity with technology trends, innovation frameworks, and co-creation methodologies.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Understanding of contract negotiation and partnership management processes.
